Boca Raton, Fl., January 20, 2006—Peachtree Settlement Funding (“Peachtree”) employees in Peachtree’s Structured Settlements Division will join forces to see who can become the “Biggest Loser”.  Inspired by the popular NBC television show, “The Biggest Loser”, employees have teamed together to lose weight.

Peachtree’s Director of Structured Settlements, Deborah Benaim, said, “I encourage our employees to care for themselves and their families and thought this would be a great way to inspire everyone to get in shape together”.  Benaim went on to say, “This is a great way to help reduce healthcare costs and increase employee productivity while having fun at the same time”.

Peachtree is working with The Weight Watchers® AT Work Program to bring the TurnAround program to their employees. The program is a comprehensive approach to weight management through an educational program directed at lifestyle changes in an atmosphere of support in meetings.  The program will monitor and measure everyone’s progress. Those who choose to participate will have their body fat measured and will be weighed at the beginning of the program and each week thereafter.

The program is open to employees interested in losing more than 15 pounds. Employees are randomly grouped together in teams. Participants meet every week with their Weight Watchers® team leader for a private weigh-in. Everyone’s progress is discussed with the group.

What is the incentive to participate? In addition to losing unwanted weight, improving their health and being able to wear clothes that used to fit, each member of the team that loses the most weight will win a prize. Whoever loses the most weight at the end of the 11-week challenge wins a special prize. Employees who are not participating will encourage the others to succeed. The employees have even started regular walking and running teams for those employees who want to exercise during their lunch break.
